Are you a member of the clean plate club?

Many of us are. I personally hate to waste food. I go out of my way to save and repurpose leftovers, but it’s not always feasible. Sometimes we tell ourselves “this is so good, I don’t want to waste it.” “What a shame to throw that out.” Wasting food does not feel good. But, if you are only eating that last bite to avoid the guilt of wasting food, ask yourself this. “Would you rather waste it by storing it in the trash or waste it by storing it as excess weight on your body?” It’s hard to break the habit of eating every bite on your plate simply because the food is there. It can be uncomfortable to leave those last few bites. But try to listen to your body and stop when you are physically comfortably satisfied. I am not saying you should never clean your plate. Just make sure you are checking in with yourself and your hunger/fullness level, instead of cleaning your plate on autopilot ❤️.
